The Kingston Press is a simple heat and pressure press, designed to be easy to construct and maintain by the cartoneros. It is limited to producing sheet materials, but RISD students developed ingenious tooling techniques to extend the range of the machine including aluminum frames, post-forming, and plates to extend the bed.
